Good afternoon,
We have been busy learning all about snowflakes!
We learned about the life cycle of a snowflake!
We also did some snowflake art!
During center time, students have been creating their own snowflakes using loose parts!
We also did a science experiment and grew our own snowflakes in the classroom!
Follow this link if you'd like to grow your own snowflakes at home: https://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Borax-Crystal-Snowflake
You can ask your child which three of the five senses they used when looking at the crystal snowflake!
Seeing the snowflake - the color, shiny crystals, looks like ice;
Touching the snowflake - it is rough and pointy;
Smelling the snowflake - it smells like the ocean (salty).
We also watched cartoon story to help us understand the journey of a snowflake!
