Wednesday Update

Reminders:

  • PM Kindergarten attends on Friday January 15
  • Library Book Exchange every Wednesday
Good afternoon,

We have been busy the last two days learning new letters, drawing and writing, playing math games, and remembering all of our routines!

Yesterday, we brainstormed different "wonders" we have about winter time! Here are a few of the wonders students shared:
  • I wonder why snow falls down from the sky - Makaeda (AM) Aleena (PM)
  • I wonder why animals stay warm in the winter time but humans don't - Hayley
  • I wonder what ice is made out of - Kenneth
  • I wonder what shape snowflakes are - Kyden
  • I wonder why bunnies are white in the winter - Maddy
  • I wonder how snow is made - Niels
  • I wonder if polar bears have to live in cold places - Hilson
We will be exploring the answers to all of these questions in the upcoming weeks! Students will be learning about animals that hibernate, migrate and adapt! Stay tuned...

Today, we learned about two letters: Letter S and Letter A!

We also practiced writing our names and counted the number of letters in our name!

You can ask your child the following questions:
  • How many letters are in your name?
  • How do you count on from a given number?
  • What movement can I do on my arm to remember the sound that "S" makes?
