We have been busy in Kindergarten!
This week, we learned how to write lower-case b, e, h, and i and the sounds that go along with these letters.
We have also been identifying different animals and objects that begins with these letters and drawing them on our white boards using detail! Students are improving everyday in the amount of detail they are including in their pictures.
Students are becoming experts at practicing their graphemes!
They have been asking if they can practice at home... So here is the video we have been using!
We have been working a lot on listening and following instructions this week. One activity we did this week to work on our listening skills was a Guided Drawing.
First, we read the story "Grumpycorn" by Sarah McIntyre. We discussed how sometimes when our friends don't listen to what we have to say, we can feel like we are in the "blue" or "yellow" zone and be sad, upset, frustrated, or grumpy.
We also looked at how we can use different shapes within a triangle. Then, we counted how many of each shape we had in the triangle and worked on recording our thinking.
