Friday Update!

Hello Kindergarten Families!

It's been another awesome week in Kindergarten. Throughout the last few weeks, we have focused on discussing the Zones of Regulation. We read a lot of stories to help us understand the different zones. We have also learned about some strategies we can use to stay in the Green Zone.

We read, "Pout Pout Fish" to help us think about the Blue Zone. We drew pictures of things that make us feel like we are in the Blue Zone (sad/sick/worried/scared).

We also read, "Llama Llama Mad at Mama" to help us think about the Red Zone. We also drew pictures of things that make us feel like we are in the Red Zone (angry/mad/out of control).

We also discussed how we can use different strategies to stay in the Green Zone. We practiced "Belly Breathing" and taking a "Shake Break" as strategies for helping us calm down and get energized and ready for learning.

We also learned about Letter M this week! This is the trickiest letter we have done so far.

Mrs. Kawohl is feeling better now and will be back at school on Monday! Can't wait to see all of you again.

Have a wonderful weekend!
